The Best Kept Bentgo Secret
Psst…this secret is not about the food.
I am not a morning-Bentgo-picture-taking-kinda-mom. Many days there are just cold Chick-fil-a nuggets in our Bentgo box, with applesauce and some rainbow goldfish.

We love the Bentgo. We have the purple tray, purple kit, and extra green tray cause momma doesn’t wash dishes every night. I think the best thing about the Bentgo Kids box is that my pre-school daughter can open, eat and close her lunch entirely on her own. No packages or baggies to open, and it couldn’t be easier for her. She takes a lot of pride in the fact she can manage lunch at school all on her own. And that’s a win.
Now please venture with me inside the Bentgo box vault of secrets, as I reveal the very best kept Bentgo secret…
You’ve all been there. Two-day old yogurt stuck to the inside top of the Bentgo. You rinse it out, give it a little scrub and kick yourself for not emptying the lunch bag yesterday.
BUT wait…there is another life available to you now.
Here it is:
Secure Press & Seal on the inside top of the Bentgo every morning. You empty the kit at the end of the day, peel off the Press & Seal and *whispers* don’t even wash the outer tray. I think the Press & Seal actually makes a better seal and there’s no mess on that top compartment. (Of course you should wash it every once in a while…but not daily. You’ve got better things to do.) Just keep pressing and sealing and smiling!
PRO Tip: I have a line marked
in black permanent marker on the Press & Seal box, which is exactly where I need to cut to make the perfect size rectangle to fit in the Bentgo.
